AAAARRRRGGH. Not a fun past three days. Tuesday, I was overweight by two pounds after practice. We had a meet the next day so I didn't eat anything but drank some water and juice. Then the morning of weigh in's, I woke up early(five), and ran on the tread mill down in the basement. I ended up losing the pounds I needed for the meet then at the meet that evening, I lost my match in the first period to this Aquinas kid which made me mad, but I still have EKL to look forward to to get my rematch. But the fun part about going there was riding with Dan Knapp. We got lost on the way back to Miege but found I-35 North and I ended up getting home at about nine.
Thursday, I didn't study enough for Mrs. Sullivan's quiz in Honors World History because I was tired from the day before so I will be happy if I get a C.
Then today, I was tired from Thursday's wrestling practice so I didn't study enough for Mr. Schumacher's test so again I will be happy with a C. Then there was the spirit assembly. All of the wrestlers got called to the stage and I heard cheering for me from the little group Hank, Lydia and the others were in. Thanks. Then today at wrestling practice, varsity was gone at Maryville so all of the JV only had to drill moves for forty-five minutes then we got to play some games! We got to play king of the mat where whoever gets a takedown on the other guy gets to get a takedown on the next guy until he gets takendown. I took three people down before I was taken down. I think I had the most. We also got to play knee football which was fun because no pads and its football and we didn't have to stand up. Then after that we played the towel game. Somewhat similar to knee football but our team members are numbered and whatever number coach yells out goes to get the towel to score on the other side of the room. Kit really was an asian invasion in the towel game because he scored three times.
We also got to get out early from practice. Good times.

Genki desu! (I am healthy or happy or something like that)

Wrestling has to be one of the most stressful sports there are, not just because there is an angry guy in tights ready to beat you into the ground, but also because you have to be at a specific weight class for the whole season of three and a half months which is annoying when you go on an eating spree over the weekend. I could have sworn I would have been at least 138 after practice, but luckily I was 135 so now I only need to cut 3 lbs. by Wednesday to be able to wrestle. Fun fun fun!!!
Well, today was a fun day at school. I only ate a peanut butter sandwich cookie and two ho-ho's for lunch(It sucks to be overweight). Another thing about lunch, Noel wasn't here today so our table was all the more merrier for his absence. Today for biology, I forgot my report that was due today. Actually, I couldn't do the report because I forgot my research for the damn thing at school over the weekend. Fortunately, Mr. Schumacher will let me turn this thing in tomorrow, but with points off of course. Thank you, Mr. Schumacher, you rock.
I can't wait till the last week of wrestling season. There is the Ritter, Wrigley Rumble to look forward to which was awesome last year because people were all dressed up like pro-wrestlers for their matches. Alex Salamat brought a luchador mask last year. Then there is the last day of practice, which rocks so much because we get to play games instead of wrestle. No, these aren't your regular, board games. These are the kind where you get pushed around a lot. Very violent, but fun none the less.

So now I'm out because there's nothing else to write.

Wow. Today was the Freshman Miege Invitational for our wrestling team. It was a great day for the freshmen who got to wrestle, I think and I learned that Coach Wrigley's first word is cookie. This was their last real freshman season thing, so now they can wrestle JV if they beat any of the JV guys in a challenge match.
Well, anyway, back to the tournament. One of the girls on our team, Simone, almost got her first win of the season. She went into overtime with the guy and she almost got the takedown points to win the match but, alas, the guy reversed her takedown and got the points instead.
On a lighter note, Nick Folken took first place in the 171 weight class and Jeremy VanRyan took third in the 135 weight class. Nick pinned both of his guys in the first period. Jeremy's weight class was a Round Robin so he had to wrestle four matches and ended up 2-2 for the day.
But the best part about helping with the Miege Invitationals is that you get a free lunch in the hospitality room which I took full advantage of stuffing my face with chili and as many desserts as possible. Food in itself is good, but free food is all the more better.
This cauliflower ear isn't getting any better. Coach Wrigley said it would probably stay there for a while. I don't look forward to this at all because a) I still have five weeks left in the season and b) it hurts like a mother.
Last night, I thought it would be helpful if I put translations for the Japanese phrases I put in at the end of each entry so here it goes.

Gambade! (Don't give up! or something encouraging like that)

So this is what its like to have a blog? It feels pretty good.Thank you Sean for making the suggestion. I can write about stuff now. Hmm... Where to start?
Well, the other day after World History, Cameron Jarvis came to me and brought up an ongoing argument we had about the pronunciation of Edo. He brought up his point again because he always thinks he's right so I snapped and yelled at him and left the room. The next day Mrs. Sullivan came up to me before class to ask what the problem was and I said it was nothing of importance. Then later that day at wrestling practice when I thought for sure Cameron wouldn't have some kind of influence on me, Coach Beake asks me the same question.
What the hell?
That was the end of it though so everything is good now except for my cauliflower ear on my right ear. This has been an ongoing problem now since freshman season. Its gotten pretty bad now. The cartilage is sort of torn up in my right ear so it looks kind of like a blobby thing. Eww. Today at practice I finally decided to put my headgear on so it wouldn't get any worse, though Adam Bush says all the bad asses have cauliflower ear. Well then I'm half a bad ass then, being its only in one ear.
Today at school I brought my pictures of me as a preschooler. For those of you out there who don't know my past, I went to a Japanese pre-school where we had to wear the little hats and the little shorts on field trips. The responses were all great and I think I'll bring some different ones to school some time.
So thats the end of it for right now I guess. Gotta get ready to help with the Freshman Invitational tomorrow. I'm hoping the freshmen won't do to bad.

Minna, oyasumi.
